The Bright Place Idea Redux

These paintings come from my rediscovery of joy and finding ways to elongate sensations that come with having a body and a consciousness. This mid-rearrangement is a celebration of aliveness within the works and possibile vitalistic fantasies that might uniquely manifest through adjacency, proximity, and parallels.
And,
I’ve always seen the exhibition as a ritual space-- a right of passage for these paintings and sculptures to go out on their own to meet and collaborate with the bodies and minds that they encounter.
So,
Another version could begin and end with a parachute as a means of escape or landing.
Depending on what you are looking for (right now).

Meaning is alive and slippery and often a private affair.
